He is also a talented Spoken Word Poet and storyteller. Even from across the pond, Pritesh has contributed his time and expertise to the Foundation in a myriad of ways. Most recently, he made an incredible Spoken Word Poetry video for our STEAM library. We are so lucky to have folks like Pritesh on the Kuma Foundation team!!<\/p><p class=\"preFade fadeIn\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"preFade fadeIn\"><strong><em>Q: Tell us a little about yourself?<\/em><\/strong><\/p><ul data-rte-list=\"default\"><li><p class=\"preFade fadeIn\"><em>From a professional point of view, I&#8217;ve been a marketer for a range of companies across various industries over 15 years now..<\/em><\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"preFade fadeIn\"><em>I started off as the first marketer in a handful of small-to-medium businesses establishing their brand identity and messaging, digital and social presence, events strategy and sales support tools.<\/em><\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"preFade fadeIn\"><em>For the last 6 years I\u2019ve been at the GSMA, the global trade association for the mobile industry. With various teams I\u2019ve been building and delivering a range of multi-channel content marketing campaigns around digital identity, climate action, leadership and the positive impact that mobile operators and connectivity is having on the world in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.<\/em><\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"preFade fadeIn\"><em>I&#8217;ve just started a new role as Head of Community at Sedex, a membership organisation that provides one of the world\u2019s leading online platforms for companies to manage and improve working conditions in global supply chains.<\/em><\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"preFade fadeIn\"><em>Equally, if not more important, I\u2019m a husband in a partnership that\u2019s just celebrated our 10-year anniversary, I\u2019m the eldest of three sons and a father to two incredible little boys, who keep me well and truly on my toes. To my close friends I\u2019ve learnt over time that I\u2019m a source of positivity, a soundboard and the guy to go to for ideas.<\/em><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"preFade fadeIn\"><strong><em>\u00a0Q: What made you want to volunteer for the Kuma Foundation?<\/em><\/strong><\/p><ul data-rte-list=\"default\"><li><p class=\"preFade fadeIn\"><em>I&#8217;m really fortunate to be able to call Ray Kimble a friend. We worked together on digital identity projects alongside our relationship. And that relationship is a space where we can share ideas and collaborate on things. When Ray shared the vision for the Foundation with me I was confident that it would be successful, It supports a critical need and is powered by an amazing team and I want to be part of it as much as I could from London. Over the last couple of years with the driving force that Sally is we&#8217;ve found ways to allow me to do that.<\/em><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"preFade fadeIn\"><strong><em>Q: \u00a0What are you doing when you aren\u2019t volunteering?<\/em><\/strong><\/p><ul data-rte-list=\"default\"><li><p class=\"preFade fadeIn\"><em>I&#8217;m constantly juggling between trying to be a pro-active father and making sure we have lots of exciting things to do with my 2 and 4-year-old, creating videos from the hours of holiday and adventure footage I have, writing, learning, and recording spoken-word poetry pieces and supporting others in their projects where possible.<\/em><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"preFade fadeIn\"><strong><em>\u00a0Q: What have you gained from your experience volunteering with us?<\/em><\/strong><\/p><ul data-rte-list=\"default\"><li><p class=\"preFade fadeIn\"><em>I have gained a lot of self-confidence around my spoken-word poetry ability. The love and support has pushed me past the fear of putting myself out there and I&#8217;m encouraged to explore more. It also gives me great satisfaction to be part of a group of people who are committed to change and knowing direct impact is being made, makes me want to support however I can.<\/em><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"preFade fadeIn\"><strong><em>\u00a0Q: 1 fun fact about you?<\/em><\/strong><\/p><ul data-rte-list=\"default\"><li><p class=\"preFade fadeIn\"><em>I love dancing.
